Great blue herons have always been one of my favorite birds. Growing up in Oregon, I would often spot them along the shores of the Deschutes River. Their majestic flight, with an expansive wingspan soaring overhead, never failed to leave me in awe. The sheer grace and power they exude make it impossible not to be impressed whenever they glide across the sky.
